Indian national held over expired visa

JARANWALA:

Batala Colony police arrested an Indian national for overstaying in Pakistan after his visa and passport had expired.

According to a first infor-mation report (FIR) lodged by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ali Asghar Khan, the suspect, Muhammad Nizam, was residing in Warispura and was found in Chamanzar Colony during a police raid.

The police said the suspect's passport and visa had expired, but he had failed to return to his country. Following the raid, officials took him into custody and verified that his travel documents were no longer valid. The case was registered against the suspect under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
