Bail granted in water park drowning case

LAHORE:

A sessions court has granted interim pre-arrest bail to a suspect in a case relating to the drowning of a minor girl at a water park, extending the relief till August 1.

Additional Sessions Judge Nasir Mehmood Sial heard the petition filed by suspect Sohail Lashari and directed him to join the police investigation.

The court also sought the investigation record from the police in the next hearing.

The case was registered by Bhatapur police after the girl drowned at the park.

Meanwhile, a sessions court sentenced two men to 14 years' imprisonment each after finding them guilty of possessing 15 kilogrammes of hashish.
