Faisal Kapadia shared throwback photos from the early 1990s, reminiscing about Strings' second album and recalling special memories with his original bandmates.

The singer posted a series of images on Instagram from the era of the band's 1992 album Strings 2, reflecting on the time he spent with fellow members Bilal Maqsood, Rafiq Wazir Ali and Kareem Bashir Bhoy.

The first photo shows the four members playfully posing in matching white outfits with ties, while the second features the iconic Strings 2 album cover with the band striking serious, stylised poses.

In the caption, Kapadia wrote, “I stumbled upon this photograph from July 1992, when our second album, Strings 2, was launched and the entire initial lineup of Strings was together: me, Bilal, Rafiq, and Kareem”.

He also reminisced about the recording sessions at Karachi's Shalimar Studio, “I still remember those amazing days at Shalimar Studio in Karachi, where we spent countless hours recording the album. Karim would pick us all up in his car, and after every recording session, we’d end up at Karachi Broast, Boat Basin”, he added.

Kapadia concluded the post by writing, "Swipe to see the Strings 2 album cover. And if you haven't heard the album, it's available on all streaming platforms."

Fans flooded the comments section with nostalgic messages, recalling the band's early days and sharing that they still regularly listen to the group's timeless songs.

More than three decades later, the original members have taken very different paths. Kapadia has continued his solo career, releasing his EP Kya Yehi Pyar Hai last year along with the standalone single Kya Hogaya Hai Mujhe.

Maqsood has focused on family-oriented creative projects, creating the popular children's puppet and animated series Pakkay Dost, for which he also released the song O'Re Saajna.

Original keyboardist Ali and Bashir are rumoured to have stepped away from the public eye after the band's initial breakup in 1992 and are widely believed to have continued their education, leaving the music industry behind.

Although Strings officially disbanded in 2021 after more than three decades together, the band's early music continues to resonate with generations of fans. Kapadia's latest post serves as a reminder of the friendship, memories and music that marked the beginning of one of Pakistan's most influential pop bands.
