Students to undergo flood preparedness drills

RAWALPINDI:

With the onset of the monsoon season, the School Education Department has directed all government schools across Rawalpindi Division to ensure the protection of school buildings, computers, laboratories, libraries and official records, besides conducting flood preparedness drills for students.

Schools have also been instructed to immediately report repair costs and damage details to district education authorities if buildings are affected by monsoon rains.

A circular issued to all heads of institutions aims to ensure the safety of school buildings, educational equipment, students and teachers, while maintaining continuity of academic activities.
