Zendaya's glowing "no-makeup makeup" look at the New York premiere of The Odyssey has quickly become one of the beauty highlights of the film's press tour, and fans can recreate the understated glam using just five key products, according to her makeup artist.

The actress, who portrays the goddess Athena in Christopher Nolan's epic, walked the red carpet in a dramatic winged gown by Matières Fécales while complementing the theatrical fashion with fresh, luminous skin and barely-there makeup created by longtime collaborator Ernesto Casillas.

Rather than opting for bold eyes or a statement lip, Casillas focused on enhancing Zendaya's natural complexion using products from Prada Beauty. The minimalist approach featured hydrated skin, softly flushed cheeks and a glossy nude lip, allowing the actress's radiant complexion to take centre stage.

According to Variety, the five hero products behind the look include:

  • Prada Augmented Skin Essence
  • Prada Reveal Skin Optimising Foundation
  • Prada Reveal Mesh Cushion Foundation
  • Prada Light Glowing Highlighter
  • Prada Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick

Casillas reportedly layered skincare beneath a sheer foundation to create a healthy, skin-like finish before adding subtle warmth with blush and highlighter. He intentionally skipped dramatic eye makeup, instead brushing up Zendaya's brows and leaving her lashes virtually bare to maintain the effortless aesthetic.

The beauty look perfectly complemented the actress's ongoing "method dressing" approach throughout The Odyssey press tour. Styled by Law Roach, Zendaya has consistently referenced Greek mythology through both her fashion and beauty choices, with each premiere featuring a different interpretation inspired by her role as Athena.

At the New York premiere, she paired the glowing complexion with an oversized fishtail braid and sculptural white gown complete with dramatic wing-like detailing, creating one of the tour's most memorable red carpet moments.

The Odyssey stars Matt Damon as Odysseus alongside Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron and Zendaya. Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic arrives in cinemas on July 17, 2026.
