Travis Scott faces lawsuit over alleged yacht attack and captain death threat

Rapper Travis Scott is facing a new civil lawsuit over an alleged altercation that took place during a yacht charter in Miami in 2024, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The lawsuit alleges that Scott chartered a yacht with a group that included several women, members of his security team and alcohol. According to the complaint, tensions began after the yacht's captain declined Scott's reported request to use a jet ski, citing concerns that he appeared too intoxicated to operate it safely.

The plaintiffs claim Scott then instructed the captain to head towards a nearby marina before jumping from the moving yacht onto a dock. The lawsuit alleges the remaining passengers stayed on board for around 30 minutes while waiting for him to return.

After Scott came back to the yacht, the captain allegedly decided to end the charter early because of his behaviour. The lawsuit claims the situation then escalated, accusing Scott of physically attacking the captain and making threats against him. It further alleges that Scott dismissed one of his own security guards after the guard attempted to intervene.

The complaint also includes claims from marina staff who responded to the scene. They allege Scott shoved two crew members while they were attempting to leave the yacht, causing one woman to fall into a table and suffer injuries. The lawsuit further claims the crew was prevented from leaving the vessel until police arrived and removed Scott.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages for alleged battery, assault, false imprisonment and other claims. The civil case follows Scott's 2024 arrest related to the incident. However, prosecutors later dropped the disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges. Scott has not publicly responded to the latest lawsuit.
