Last week, Bilawal also held a meeting with DPM Dar and discussed with him the situation in AJK as well as Gilgit-Baltistan. Dar congratulated Bilawal on forming the government in G-B.
The PPP chief thanked the DPM for all the support of PML-N in the induction of an elected government in G-B. Both leaders agreed on the importance of holding free, fair, and transparent forthcoming general elections in AJK.
Earlier this month, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and the PPP announced an electoral alliance for the upcoming elections in AJK. JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Bilawal also held a meeting and called for dialogue to resolve the ongoing unrest in AJK.
Bilawal also announced that the PPP and JUI-F would jointly contest the upcoming AJK elections. He also appealed to JAAC to remain within the bounds of the law and the Constitution.
