Blake Lively is reportedly unhappy with Justin Baldoni's first public comments following the settlement of their long-running legal dispute, with a new report claiming the actress believes his latest video attempts to portray him as the victim.
According to StyleCaster, citing an unnamed source, Lively was "absolutely furious" after Baldoni and his wife, Emily, shared an Instagram video thanking supporters following the conclusion of the pair's legal battle.
In the video, Baldoni said he and his family had endured a "traumatic" experience over the past two years and expressed gratitude to those who stood by them throughout the legal proceedings.
"Gratitude has saved us," Baldoni said, while explaining that he had chosen to remain silent for much of the dispute because he did not want to "add to the noise." His wife added that their appreciation for supporters "doesn't negate the injustice and the pain" they experienced.
According to the StyleCaster report, Lively was angered by the video's tone, with a source alleging that she viewed it as an attempt to reshape the public narrative after the case concluded. The outlet also reported claims that she has taken further legal action seeking millions of dollars in attorneys' fees, although those claims have not been independently confirmed.
Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement in May, bringing an end to a legal battle stemming from their work on the 2024 film It Ends With Us. Both parties issued a joint statement at the time, acknowledging the challenges surrounding the production while reaffirming their commitment to respectful and safe workplaces. Neither side admitted wrongdoing, and no financial damages were awarded as part of the settlement.
In his video, Baldoni said he and his family are now focused on healing after what he described as an emotionally difficult period.
"There have been so many painful things spoken into existence over the last couple years," he said, adding that he wanted "the justice system [to] run its course" before addressing the situation publicly.
Neither Lively nor her representatives have publicly responded to Baldoni's remarks.
While the legal dispute has officially ended, the public conversation surrounding the case continues, with both stars now attempting to move forward professionally following one of Hollywood's most closely watched legal battles.
