Bannu police issue list of 40 most-wanted terrorists

Total reward of Rs158.5 million offered

BANNU:

The Bannu police on Saturday issued a detailed list containing photographs, names, and reward amounts for 40 alleged terrorists wanted in multiple cases of terrorism and serious crimes.

According to the police, the suspects are wanted in connection with bomb blasts, attacks on security forces, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, target killings, and other heinous offences.

The highest reward of Rs10 million has been placed on the head of Akhtar Muhammad alias Khalil. Sardar Hayat alias Sufiyan and Sadiqullah Garbaz carry a reward of Rs8 million each, while Nasirullah alias Gidar has a bounty of Rs7 million. The lowest reward in the list is Rs500,000.

Speaking to the media, District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu, Captain (retd) Muhammad Furqan Bilal, said the total reward money for the 40 suspects stands at Rs15 crore 85 lakh (Rs158.5 million). He added that the process of notifying rewards for several other wanted terrorists is underway and their details will be made public shortly.

The Bannu police have appealed to citizens to immediately share any information regarding these wanted individuals with the authorities.
