China highlights CPEC's potential

A ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) brought together members of the overseas Chinese community, business leaders, diplomats and representatives from various Chinese associations operating in Pakistan.
Speakers emphasised the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the overseas Chinese community's contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Consul General of China in Lahore, Sun Yan, highlighted the significance of the CPEC. He said that with the advancement of Phase-II, China's development experience would further contribute to Pakistan's economic growth and modernisation. "With the joint efforts of China and Pakistan, CPEC Phase-II will deliver even greater outcomes for the benefit of the people of both countries," he said, expressing confidence that the strategic partnership would continue to grow stronger.
