TikTok star ItGirlBri also known as DreamDoll Bri, whose real name was Brianna J., has died after a shooting in Miramar, Florida, as police continue to investigate what authorities believe was a targeted attack.
The 21-year-old influencer was reportedly leaving an Airbnb party in the early hours of July 5 when the incident occurred in the 2700 block of Sunshine Boulevard.
She was travelling in a green Lamborghini SUV with two men at around 5.30am when a white BMW allegedly opened fire, striking the vehicle multiple times.
The Lamborghini reportedly continued through a stop sign before crashing into a nearby house. Ring doorbell footage of the shooting has since circulated on social media.
Police officers and Miramar Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported all three occupants to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. While speculation circulated online about multiple fatalities, only DreamDoll Bri's death had been confirmed at the time of publication.
The Miami-based content creator had built a large online following, with more than 365,000 followers on TikTok and approximately 80,000 on Instagram. She was also known for her viral track "Bend Ova".
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss said investigators believe the vehicle was specifically targeted and stressed there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the surrounding community.
He described the incident as "disturbing" and said it was a "chaotic scene". No arrests had been made at the time of reporting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Local resident Carlos Regueiro told a local news outlet, "Me and my family heard what sounded like gunshots around five-six in the morning. It definitely is scary, especially the fact that all the neighbors here have been the same neighbors for the last ten years. So whoever was involved, we might know them."
Another resident, Chery Cherr, told WSVN 7 News, "My mother did [hear the gunshots] actually, she said she thought it was fireworks at first, but then something just felt a little bit off. We’ve never experienced anything like that. Anyone here pretty much knows each other, so it’s a pretty tight-knit neighborhood."
Unverified rumours circulating on social media about the alleged involvement of the influencer's hairstylist have not been confirmed by authorities.
