Rawalpindi gets new admin, police chiefs

RAWALPINDI:

In a major reshuffle of the civil administration and police leadership across Rawalpindi region, the Punjab government transferred several senior bureaucrats and police officers and replaced them with new faces on Saturday.

According to official notifications issued by the Punjab Chief Secretary, Commissioner Rawalpindi Aamir Khattak, Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shehryar Shirazi, and Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Hakim Khan have been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Punjab.

Similarly, City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has also been transferred and instructed to report to the Central Police Office (CPO), Lahore.

The government has appointed Captain (retired) Nadeem Nasir, previously serving as Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad, as the new Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi.

In the police department, DIG Operations, Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, has been posted as the new City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi.
