Kai Cenat has confirmed his return to live streaming, announcing that the full roster of students and professors for Streamer University 2 will be unveiled during a broadcast on July 6 at 8:00 PM EST.
The livestream will mark a first for the creator, as it will be broadcast simultaneously on both his Twitch channel, KaiCenat, and his YouTube channel, KaiCenatLive.
The dual-platform approach represents a notable change from his previous streaming schedule.
Kai stepped away from regular streaming in October 2025, explaining at the time that he needed a break after years of producing continuous content.
While he has appeared occasionally since then, the upcoming broadcast marks his first full return to live streaming.
He also shared a photo on his Instagram Story showing himself back in his streaming room at the AMP house, signalling that he has resumed preparations for regular broadcasts.
Ahead of the reveal, the official Streamer University Instagram account posted a message to applicants, encouraging those awaiting the results.
“Whether your name is revealed or not, we appreciate everyone who showed interest and supported this opportunity. If you aren’t selected, remember that this does not define your talent, your potential, or your future.”
Kai also shared his excitement on X before the stream, posting, “Missed yall” followed by, “Turn me up yall it’s time.”
The decision to stream on both Twitch and YouTube follows months in which Kai uploaded much of the Streamer University 2 audition content directly to YouTube, suggesting an effort to connect audiences across both platforms ahead of his return.
During his hiatus, he also launched a separate YouTube channel, Kai’s Mind, where he documented his interests outside live streaming, including creative direction, fashion and his focus on physical and mental wellbeing.
