Govt raises RLNG prices

The government has increased the prices of imported re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for June while also revising petroleum levy rates on petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the coming week.

According to a notification issued by the OGRA, the price of imported RLNG for the SNGPL has increased by 14.94%. Under the revised rates, the RLNG price for SNGPL is fixed at $19.52 per MMBTU, compared with $16.98 per MMBTU in May.

For SSGC, the RLNG price has been raised by 16.17%.

The new RLNG price for the SSGC is set at $18.63 per MMBTU, up from $16.04 per MMBTU in May, according to the OGRA notification. Meanwhile, the government has also revised the petroleum levy rates on petroleum products for the coming week.

According to the revised rates, the petroleum levy on petrol has increased by Rs6.22 per litre, bringing the levy to Rs70.36 per litre. In contrast, the petroleum levy on HSD has been reduced by Rs6.22 per litre, with the new levy fixed at Rs70.82 per litre.

The government has kept the petroleum levy on kerosene oil unchanged at Rs20.36 per litre. The carbon levy of Rs5 per litre on petroleum products has also been retained without any change.
