Youth dies as pistol goes off 'accidently'

DIJKOT:

An 18-year-old youth died after accidentally shooting himself while cleaning a pistol at his home in the Dijkot area.

According to police, Muhammad Saqlain, a resident of Chak No. 87-JB, was cleaning his pistol in a room of his house when the weapon accidentally discharged due to a bullet already present in the chamber.

The bullet struck him in the head, leaving him critically injured.

He was provided initial medical treatment and later shifted to Civil Hospital Faisalabad, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
