Pre-emptive measures for monsoon rains, floods

HYDERABAD:

Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon has directed all relevant departments to complete all necessary arrangements in advance to deal with possible monsoon rains and flooding.

Chairing a meeting of the DDMA Hyderabad at the New DC Complex, the DC stressed the need for a multi-pronged strategy and effective inter-agency coordination during Monsoon 2026. The DC instructed DDMA members to immediately share their respective monsoon contingency plans so any gaps can be addressed.

He directed officials of the Water and Sanitation Agency, Hyderabad Development Authority, and Town Municipal Officers to ensure timely cleaning of drains across the district.
