Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's reported wedding celebrations at Madison Square Garden could carry a price tag of between $15 million and $20 million, according to industry estimates.

The report highlighted comments from luxury wedding professionals and entertainment experts as preparations continued for the couple's highly anticipated ceremony in New York.

Entertainment production executive Darren Olarsch, founder of On The Move Entertainment, previously told Page Six that hiring Madison Square Garden for a private wedding could cost significantly more than a traditional luxury venue.

"It's doable, but it is like planning a concert. What might be a $300,000 wedding somewhere else, inside the Garden would be $3 million," he said. "The production team would have to build out overhead structures to bring down the scale and make it more romantic, close and intimate."

However, CNN cited an anonymous luxury wedding planner who estimated the total cost of hosting an event of that scale at the iconic venue could range from $15 million to $20 million.

The report also referenced claims by TMZ that organisers had commissioned the construction of a large castle inside Madison Square Garden as part of the wedding décor.

"Sources close to the wedding tell TMZ … a massive castle is being built inside a garden at MSG, with the legendary venue being transformed into a full-blown fairytale for the big July 3 wedding event," the outlet reported.

According to the report, security arrangements around the venue are also expected to be extensive. The New York Times reported that hundreds of police officers would be deployed across Midtown Manhattan, with temporary road closures planned around Madison Square Garden during the two-day private event.

Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the reported costs or details surrounding their wedding celebrations.
