KARACHI:

Global cybersecurity and networking company Fortinet hosted its Fortinet Security Day 2026 forum in Karachi on Wednesday, bringing together cybersecurity leaders, technology experts and industry partners to discuss securing artificial intelligence and strengthening Pakistan's digital ecosystem.

Held under the theme "Securing the AI Journey", the event featured discussions on AI-powered security, threat intelligence and next-generation security operations, with speakers highlighting the growing need for robust cybersecurity as digital transformation accelerates.

Speaking at the forum, Fortinet Senior Regional Director for South Middle East Shadi Khuffash described Pakistan as an emerging cybersecurity market and a strategic destination for investment.

He said Pakistan's geographic importance, expanding digital landscape, growing political role and government-led digitalisation initiatives made it a key market for the company.

Khuffash said Fortinet was investing in Pakistan by expanding its resources and capabilities while working with public- and private-sector partners to provide cybersecurity solutions that safeguard the country's digital transformation.
