Five die as boat capsizes in Swat lake

PESHAWAR:

At least five members of a family were killed after a boat capsized in Saifullah Lake, a popular tourist destination in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Swat district. Officials said three other members of the family were still missing.

According to officials, eight members of the same family, along with the boatman, were on board the vessel when it suddenly overturned.

As a result of the accident, all nine occupants fell into the lake. The boatman was rescued in critical condition and shifted to hospital, while the bodies of five tourists were recovered from the Mahodand area.
