Varsity students face summer restrictions

Allaying fears about Punjab University's recent decisions regarding summer classes and hostel facilities, the administration of the institution has clarified that the accommodation facilities remain available for students with academic and research requirements.
A spokesperson stated that PhD and MPhil scholars completing research in their final semesters have been allowed to stay in designated hostels.
The students appearing in examinations during the summer vacations are also being provided accommodation where required.
According to the spokesperson, the phased closure of some hostels has been announced to address maintenance, security and administrative concerns.
