Cop booked over foreign trips
A head constable of Punjab Patrolling Police has been booked for allegedly travelling abroad multiple times on a private passport without obtaining departmental permission or the required NOC.
Police said Head Constable Asghar Ali of Jaranwala was found absent from duty, and an inquiry revealed that he had allegedly made several foreign trips without official approval, violating government and police regulations.
Following orders from Patrolling SSP Mirza Anjum Kamal, Kotwali police registered a case under Section 420 of the PPC and Article 155-C of the Police Order 2002 and launched efforts to arrest the suspect.
