Six arrested in drug, weapons crackdown

HYDERABAD:

Police continued a district-wide general hold-up, snap checking, and joint patrols with Rangers on Sunday, while separate operations led to the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of weapons and drugs. According to a Hyderabad Police spokesperson, acting on special orders from SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, a general hold-up was carried out across the district. Police conducted snap checking, picketing, and effective patrolling within the limits of all police stations.

Strict snap-checking points have been set up at the city's entry and exit routes, where suspicious persons, vehicles, and motorcycles are being thoroughly checked. Mobile and foot patrols by police, along with Rangers personnel, have also been intensified across the district.
