KARACHI:

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said Sindh was rapidly progressing in line with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He maintained that press freedom in the province remained intact, adding that no other province in the country enjoyed similar freedom of expression, though he alleged that the provincial government often became the target of that same freedom.

He said Pakistan was facing extraordinary circumstances and that all provinces had limited resources, yet had contributed by prioritising national development. "We have thought more about the country; development can come later," he remarked.

Sharjeel Memon said the provincial government had introduced AI-based media monitoring to track content across print, electronic and social media. He added that Sindh was the first province to establish a Journalists Protection Wing and the Sindh Information Commission.
