Four family members found dead in Okara home

Four members of a family, including a woman, her two sons and a daughter, were found dead at their home in the Jandraka area within the jurisdiction of Ravi Police Station on Saturday, police said.

Police said local residents alerted authorities after discovering the bodies inside the house belonging to a driver identified as Riaz.

Police and forensic teams rushed to the scene and began collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

The deceased were identified as 40-year-old Fauzia Riaz, her two sons, Junaid Riaz and Daud Riaz and her daughter, Dua Fatima.

District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Asad Ijaz Malhi said the bodies were being shifted to hospital for post-mortem examinations, adding that the exact cause of death would be determined after forensic analysis and medical reports.

Police spokesperson Irfan Sandhu said investigators were examining all possible angles while forensic experts collected samples from the house.

Rescue teams shifted the bodies to hospital as Ravi Police continued the investigation. Police officials said the facts surrounding the deaths would become clear once the post-mortem and forensic reports are completed.

District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Assad Ejaz Malhi visited the scene after four members of a family were found dead in a house in Jandraka village, within the jurisdiction of Ravi police station, on Saturday.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Fiza, wife of Riaz, and her three children Daud, Junaid and Dua Fatima. The bodies were found in a room of their residence.

The DPO inspected the crime scene and was briefed by police officers regarding the circumstances of the incident.

A Crime Scene Unit team collected forensic evidence from the house for further examination.
