Drake to host exclusive Toronto party for people named 'Janice' after success of 'Janice STFU'
The rapper reportedly wanted to make amends for the song's confrontational title by organising the celebration

Drake is hosting an exclusive event in Toronto this weekend for people named Janice, turning the success of his chart-topping single "Janice STFU" into a light-hearted apology for anyone who may have taken offence to the song's title.
According to Virgin Radio Toronto, rapper will host the invitation-only gathering at Toronto's Cactus Club on Adelaide Street West from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.
Entry is limited to guests whose first name is Janice, with attendees required to present valid identification at the door.
The event is intended as an apology to women named Janice following the release of "Janice STFU", a track from Drake's recent ICEMAN project that references a vocal sample. The rapper reportedly wanted to make amends for the song's confrontational title by organising the celebration.
Drake also revealed plans to host similar events in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston. Sharing a photograph of a bin filled with envelopes on Instagram Stories, he wrote: "All my Janice's in NY, LA, HOU, MIA, TO. Look out for my invitation for Sunday 👀👀👀👀."

"Janice STFU" has become the breakout hit from Drake's three albums released in May: ICEMAN, MAID OF HONOUR, HABIBTI.
The single reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and the US Billboard Hot 100, while spending three consecutive weeks atop the Canadian chart.
The track also gained significant traction on TikTok, driven by its chorus, which interpolates Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers".
Organisers have released few additional details about the Toronto event beyond the requirement that every guest must be named Janice.
