KARACHI:

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala on the occasion of Ashura, saying their unparalleled sacrifices continue to inspire humanity with the values of justice, patience, steadfastness and resistance against tyranny.

In his Ashura message, the chief minister said Imam Hussain (AS) sacrificed everything for the preservation of Islam and the supremacy of the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), choosing martyrdom over submission to falsehood. "The story of sacrifice, perseverance and loyalty written on the burning sands of Karbala will continue to guide humanity until the end of time," he said.

Murad said the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions remains an enduring legacy for the Muslim Ummah, adding that the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) raised the banner of truth and justice forever through his sacrifice.

He said Ashura teaches the values of dignity, honour, patience and steadfastness, while also encouraging people to stand firm against oppression and injustice.

The chief minister described every martyr of Karbala as a symbol of loyalty, selflessness and sacrifice, adding that Imam Hussain's (AS) martyrdom gave humanity the courage to raise its voice against tyranny.

He said the message of Karbala continues to offer hope and resilience to oppressed people around the world, while Hussainiyat remains a symbol of humanity, justice, freedom and moral integrity.

Murad Ali Shah noted that the land of Sindh has always been known for its devotion and reverence for Ahl-e-Bait (AS), adding that Sindh's Sufi traditions have carried forward the message of love, sacrifice and loyalty embodied by Karbala from generation to generation.
