Abducted boy found murdered

Body found by family after overnight search

DIJKOT:

An eight-year-old boy who had gone missing from the Thikriwala area has been found murdered, with police investigating allegations that he was sexually assaulted before being killed.

According to the police, Muhammad Siddique, a resident of Chak 71-JB, reported that his son Shakeel had left home on June 23 to buy soft drink from a nearby shop but not returned.

After the family failed to locate the child, Thikriwala police registered a kidnapping case under Section 363 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified abductors. The following morning, the boy's body was found in a washroom in a plot owned by a neighbour. Family members searching the area discovered the body and alerted the police. Police officials reached the scene and forensic experts collected evidence.

The body was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination and the police said additional charges would be incorporated into the case in light of the medical and forensic findings.

Following the incident, Faisalabad City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain constituted investigation teams under the supervision of the Iqbal Town SP to arrest those involved in the murder.

Meanwhile, a woman was allegedly killed by her brothers over a dispute over agricultural land.

According to police, the incident occurred in Chak 454-GB over the division of agricultural land.

Brothers Sattar, Ghaffar and Jabbar allegedly attacked their sister Bibi Rani with axes while she was on her way home.

The injured woman was shifted to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
