Police expose robbery hoax

Police uncovered a robbery hoax involving Rs200 million, exposing an alleged plot by a jeweller to misappropriate customers' money and gold.
According to the police, complainant Akram Zargar, a resident of Chunian, had contacted the emergency helpline on Friday, claiming that two unidentified motorcyclists had robbed him of Rs25,000 and 206 grams of gold worth around Rs200 million.
The police said that when they reached the scene, the complainant created commotion and pretended to suffer a heart attack.
He was shifted to a hospital, while the investigation continued. The investigators found that a plan had been orchestrated by Zargar, his son Imran and brother-in-law.
