Tuesday’s episode of Love Island USA delivered one of the season’s most dramatic recouplings, reshaping relationships across the villa and leaving several Islanders facing heartbreak.
Tensions continued from the previous episode as Aniya and KC struggled to resolve ongoing issues in their relationship. Elsewhere, Caleb and Corbin remained locked in a battle for Kenzie’s affection, while Sincere faced a difficult choice between Melanie and Sol.
The night’s major twist came when host Ariana Madix announced a recoupling based on handwritten love letters. Islanders were required to write to the person they wished to couple up with. Mutual letters resulted in an automatic pairing, while unreciprocated feelings left contestants single.
Several established couples emerged unscathed. Trinity and Bryce, Jen and Gabriel, Aniya and KC, and Kayda and Zach all exchanged mutual letters, securing their places together.
The drama intensified when Kenzie received letters from both Caleb and Corbin. While Caleb declared his feelings, Kenzie chose to write to Corbin, leading to their reunion. The decision left Caleb without a matching letter and ended hopes of continuing their partnership.
Attention then turned to Sincere, who received letters from both Melanie and Sol. Ultimately, he chose Melanie, leaving Sol disappointed and uncoupled.
However, neither Sol nor Caleb faced elimination. Ariana revealed the pair would be coupled together instead, ensuring both remained in the villa.
The episode concluded with the announcement of a public vote for America’s favourite couple through the Love Island app.
It also ended on a sombre note with a tribute to executive producer James Barker, who recently died following a medical emergency in Fiji. No Islanders were dumped from the competition.
Love Island USA premieres new episodes daily, except Wednesdays, on Peacock at 9pm ET/6pm PT.
