Two femicide cases shock the capital

Two incidents of femicide were reported in the federal capital.
In the first incident, a retired sub-inspector of the Federal Police shot his wife over a domestic dispute in Ghori Town, within the limits of Koral Police Station. The police arrested the accused in the case.
In the second incident, a man killed his young wife with a sharp instrument in E-11/2, within the limits of Shalimar Police Station. However, the police were unable to arrest the accused.
The bodies of both women were handed over to their families after police action.
According to police sources, retired sub-inspector Tariq of the federal police reportedly used to fight with his wife every day. On Monday, after another one of their fights escalated, he opened fire on his wife using a firearm in the house. The police arrested the accused former sub-inspector Tariq red-handed from his house along with the weapon and shifted him to the police station, while his wife's body was handed over to her family after the postmortem.
Meanwhile, in flat number 301 of an apartment building in E-11/2, accused Muzammil brutally killed his wife with a sharp instrument and fled the scene. Shalimar police have not been to arrest him as of yet.
Separate cases have been registered for both the incidents.
