BTS expands publishing plans with two new official books

BTS are preparing to give ARMY a closer look at their music and Korean culture with the release of two new official books scheduled for September.
According to details released by BigHit Music and publisher Running Press Adult, the K pop superstars will launch BTS Lyrics Inside and the BTS Recipe Book on September 15. The releases form part of a wider publishing collaboration involving Running Press, CAKE Corp and BigHit Music.
BTS Lyrics Inside is a 184 page hardcover collection designed to help readers understand the stories and messages behind some of the group’s most beloved songs. The book covers tracks released from the era of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life through to the 2022 anthology album Proof.
The publication includes Hangul lyrics, romanised text, official English notes and explanations of Korean expressions. It also features commentary and insights from RM, Jin, SUGA, j hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.
Ten songs are highlighted in the book, including “Boy With Luv”, “ON”, “Life Goes On”, “IDOL”, “FIRE”, “Magic Shop”, “We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal”, “Mikrokosmos”, “Spring Day” and “Yet to Come”.
Alongside the lyric collection, BTS are also releasing the BTS Recipe Book, a 256 page cookbook celebrating dishes connected to the group and Korean cuisine. The book contains 15 recipes inspired by content featured in programmes such as Run BTS, Bon Voyage and In the Soop.
Among the recipes included are kimchi fried rice, banquet noodles, Korean fried chicken, scallion pancakes, simmered rice cakes and ginseng chicken soup. The cookbook aims to give fans another way to connect with the group’s world through food and shared experiences.
The latest publishing project follows the success of Beyond the Story: 10 Year Record of BTS, the group’s official oral history released in 2023. That book documented BTS’ journey from their 2013 debut to becoming one of the biggest music acts in the world.
The announcement arrives during a period of heightened anticipation among fans as the members continue progressing through individual activities while preparing for future group plans.
