IUB student dies after drinking beverage

BAHAWALPUR:

A student of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) died on Monday after allegedly consuming a beverage purchased from the university canteen, prompting authorities to seal the facility and launch an investigation.

The deceased, identified as Tanzil Musa, a BBA student and resident of District Muzaffargarh, collapsed on campus shortly after appearing in an examination at the Baghdadul Jadeed Campus.

The student had reportedly purchased and consumed a bottled drink from the canteen after completing his paper. While walking back, he suddenly collapsed face down on the ground.

University faculty members, medical staff, and rescue teams immediately responded and checked the student's vital signs, which were found to be absent.
