Girl missing for 11 years reunited with family

The Edhi Foundation has reunited a girl who went missing 11 years ago with her family.

According to the foundation, 12-year-old Rila was found in the Akhtar Colony area on December 15, 2015, and was shifted to Edhi Home in Sohrab Goth, where she was cared for over the years.

Officials said that with time Rila turned 23. After 11 years, her father finally recognized her. Following verification of her identity, Rila was handed over to her father, Haq Nawaz, and her brother.

Emotional scenes were witnessed when the family met her after the long separation.
