Two held for thefts at weddings
Police arrested two suspected members of a gang involved in stealing mobile phones from wedding functions and other gatherings.
Harbanspura police arrested the alleged ringleader, Ali Raza, and his accomplice Ahsan. The police said the suspects were members of a gang and had been involved in at least 45 cases. Officials recovered 11 stolen phones and an illegal weapon from the suspects and cases were registered against them.
Investigators claimed that the suspects had confessed during initial interrogation to stealing phones from wedding ceremonies and other locations.
