.

Three cases have been registered against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chaddhar at Defence-A police station over allegations of cheque dishonour involving Rs270 million.
According to the FIRs, the cases were lodged on the complaint of Mah Rukh Arif who alleged that three cheques worth Rs90 million each issued in connection with a property transaction had been dishonoured due to insufficient funds.
The complainant stated that she is a cancer patient and had approached Chaddhar and Akbar Khan to sell her property located on Davis Road. She alleged that a deal for the property valued at about Rs600 million had been finalised.
According to the FIRs, the suspect had issued three cheques of Rs90 million each as part of the payment. However, when presented for encashment on the due dates, all three cheques were returned unpaid because the account lacked sufficient funds.
