Woman dies during attempted abortion
FIR alleges deceased's husband, another woman attempted to terminate pregnancy through midwife
JARANWALA:
A woman died at DHQ Hospital Faisalabad after complications from an attempted abortion.
As per an FIR lodged by her father Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Chak 229-RB, with Khurrianwala Police, his daughter Kanza Fatima was living with her husband Muhammad Farooq in Chak 229-RB Mai Mastani when she fell ill.
Farooq, along with two women identified as Fatima Bibi and Hanifa wife of Abdul Qayyum, took her to a doctor in Makoana.
The doctor confirmed she was pregnant. The FIR alleges that Farooq and Fatima Bibi then took Kanza to Jaranwala and attempted to terminate the pregnancy through midwife Hanifa Bibi.
