LAHORE:

Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has vowed to ensure the maintenance of peace during Muharram, and enforce strict compliance with the approved timings and routes of majalis and processions.

Chairing a meeting along with Commissioner Maryam Khan on Friday, he said matters concerning trouble points across the city will be resolved well in advance through consultation and mutual understanding.

He directed to strengthen and streamline checking and security screening in coordination with organisers and volunteers of the events.

Road repairs along procession routes, installation of streetlights, anti-dengue spray and sewerage-related concerns were also discussed.
