Crackdown against illegal car market on cards

City Traffic Police decides to launch strict operation, deploys over 50 traffic personnel for enforcement

RAWALPINDI:

The City Traffic Police has decided to launch a strict operation against the illegal Friday car market on Murree Road in Rahmanabad and has deployed more than 50 traffic personnel for enforcement.

Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam said indiscriminate action was being taken against the illegal market. Vehicles parked in no-parking zones or causing obstruction to traffic flow would face fines as well as legal action.

According to the CTO, warnings have been issued repeatedly.
