Railways earns Rs63.6b in FY2026

Pakistan Railways has generated gross earnings of Rs63.56 billion during July-March FY2026, compared to Rs65.2 billion in the corresponding period last year, according to the Economic Survey of Pakistan 2025-26 unveiled by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The survey said that Pakistan Railways remained an important part of the country's transport network, carrying 24.16 million passengers during the period while continuing to support freight movement and economic activity.

Railways operates a network of 444 locomotives across 7,791kms of railway track, making it a key component of the national transport infrastructure.
