Police step up digital surveillance
Police have intensified surveillance and crime-control efforts by utilising technologically equipped e-police posts across the district.
According to official figures, the police screened 14,705 suspicious individuals and 15,859 vehicles through the E-Police Post App during May as part of a campaign against criminal activities.
The digital monitoring system enabled law enforcement agencies to conduct swift verification and tracking of suspects, enhancing operational efficiency and public security.
During the month-long crackdown, the police arrested five proclaimed offenders and a court absconder while checking suspicious individuals at various locations.
