Fire erupts in Jinnah Hospital ward's AC duct
Panic spread among patients and medical staff after a fire broke out in the AC duct of Ward No. 5 in the Poisoning Ward at Jinnah Hospital, filling the ward with smoke.
According to hospital spokesperson Dr. Waqas Khan, hospital administration immediately responded to the incident and relocated all patients to safe areas.
He said that timely use of fire extinguishers and swift action by the administration helped bring the fire under control within approximately half an hour. The spokesperson added that no loss of life was reported in the incident; however, some medical equipment were damaged in the fire.
