After receiving an emergency call, rescue teams rushed to the spot.

Initial investigations revealed that construction of a new room was under way atop the old and building when a wall collapsed, causing collapse of the roof structure. The roof crashed into the room below.

As a result, three family members were buried beneath the rubble and died on the spot.

One-year-old Ali Hassan, 22-year-old Saadia Bibi and 22-year-old Rehana, the child's paternal aunt, died in the incident.
