PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has granted approval to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Youth Policy 2026, which will soon be presented before the provincial Cabinet for final approval.

Chairing a meeting of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department at the Chief Minister's House on Monday, the Chief Minister directed officials to prepare comprehensive legislation for the protection and promotion of youth interests across the province.

"Young people form a significant portion of our population. Safeguarding their interests and investing in their development is not only a strategic necessity but also a moral imperative," the Chief Minister emphasized.

He announced that the upcoming provincial budget would be a "youth-focused budget" and said the provincial government was committed to investing in human capital in line with the vision of Imran Khan.

The Chief Minister instructed the concerned authorities to ensure the establishment of Jawan Markaz facilities in every district of the province and to constitute empowered local governing bodies for their effective management and long-term sustainability.
