Child drowns in canal, another rescued

FAISALABAD:

A six-year-old boy lost his life while another child was rescued after both reportedly fell into Rakh Branch Canal.

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Monday that the incident occurred near Chak No.204-RB Bridge where the two children fell into the canal.

Upon receiving information, rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a search and rescue operation.

The rescuers saved 11-year-old Rajab Ali from the canal and provided him first aid.

This child was out of danger. However, six-year-old Abdur Rehman died. Rescue personnel later retrieved his body from the canal.
