CM sets June 15 deadline for Azeempura Flyover inauguration

Inspects Shahrah-e-Bhutto, directs strict traffic enforcement

KARACHI:

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Sunday reviewed key ongoing development projects in Karachi, including the Red Line BRT mixed traffic corridor, Azeempura Flyover and Shahrah-e-Bhutto, during his fifth consecutive weekly visit to monitor infrastructure progress in the metropolis

During the visit, the chief minister announced that the Azeempura Flyover would be opened for traffic on June 15. He also expressed satisfaction over the pace of work on the Red Line project and directed that the flyover be completed and made operational by the same date.

The chief minister directed authorities to expedite work while ensuring construction quality and minimum inconvenience to citizens.

He said the flyover would help ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity from Azeempura to Malir Halt and the Korangi Road corridor, while also reducing pressure on Sharae Faisal and adjoining roads.

The chief minister also visited Shahrah-e-Bhutto and reviewed security and traffic management arrangements on the newly inaugurated road.
