Katy Perry has publicly commended Air Canada cabin crew after witnessing their response to a medical emergency on a recent flight from Montreal to Los Angeles. The singer shared her appreciation on social media after the incident took place aboard flight AC 779 on May 23, which had departed Montréal Trudeau International Airport at 6:35pm local time.

According to her post, Perry observed a fellow passenger experiencing a sudden medical issue during the journey. The situation prompted immediate action from the cabin crew, who stepped in to provide assistance while the aircraft was in the air. The pop star later praised the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff, highlighting the calm and coordinated response that unfolded in the cabin.

The flight, operated by Air Canada, continued its scheduled route to Los Angeles International Airport after the situation was brought under control. Perry noted that the medical issue was resolved onboard and that the passenger’s condition stabilised before landing. She used her platform on X to acknowledge the crew’s handling of the event, writing that she was impressed by their “quick action” and “level of professionalism and consideration”.
