Police raid PTI AJK lawmaker's Lahore residence

LAHORE:

Police along with individuals in plain clothes conducted a late-night raid at the residence of AJK Legislative Assembly member Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan, who is also a PTI leader and an office-bearer of its Lahore organisation.

A video footage of the operation that went viral on social media showed armed personnel jumping over the gate and entering the house.

Both uniformed police officials and individuals in civilian attire could be seen participating in the raid. During the raid, Dewan was taken into custody. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the reasons behind the raid or the detention.
