Two accused wounded in shootout

Two suspects involved in the gang rape of an eight-year-old boy were injured during a police raid and subsequent shootout in Shahdara Town.
A team from Shahdara Town Investigation Wing raided near Darbar Hassan Wali to arrest the remaining associates of Zain Masih, who was already in custody for the alleged gang rape of the minor.
As the police party approached, the second accused, Ashfaq alias Chaku, opened indiscriminate fire. In the exchange of gunfire, Zain Masih, who was in police custody, sustained bullet injuries.
Police officials remained unhurt. While trying to escape, Ashfaq alias Chaku fell from a wall and fractured his leg.
Meanwhile, a man was injured in a firing incident allegedly stemming from a financial dispute in the Harbanspura area, while police arrested four suspects and recovered weapons from their possession.
According to police, an argument over monetary dealings escalated into violence when suspects identified as Nadeem, Shafiq, Sameer and Sajid allegedly opened fire on Sharjeel, leaving him injured.
Police responded to the scene after receiving information and shifted the injured man to a hospital for medical treatment.
