Motorcycle police squad 'collects Eidi' at checkpoint
.

Complaints have emerged alleging that personnel of the Nabi Bakhsh police station are running a so-called 'Eidi collection campaign' under the guise of routine checking.
Videos showing alleged bribery at police checkpoints have surfaced. In the viral footage, a police motorcycle squad can be seen setting up checkpoints behind Capri Cinema and allegedly collecting money from citizens throughout the day.
During checking, officers reportedly neglect their own safety, stopping and searching citizens without wearing bulletproof vests. Residents of the area have complained that motorcyclists and rickshaw passengers are stopped during morning and evening hours and allegedly forced to pay bribes.
It is further alleged that money is taken from citizens on the pretext of missing vehicle documents or for consuming gutka and mawa. In the video, one officer can also be seen chewing and spitting gutka.
In response, DSP Garden Mohsin Raza stated that no formal complaint has been received so far. He added that any potential complaints will be reviewed, and if found valid, action will be taken in accordance with the law.
