GUJRANWALA:

Two suspects were killed while four others were arrested in injured condition during four separate police encounters in different areas of Gujranwala, police said on Tuesday.

According to police officials, operations against criminal elements were carried out on the directions of the City Police Officer (CPO), resulting in multiple encounters involving wanted suspects.

In the first incident within the limits of Tatlay Aali police station, a proclaimed offender and alleged drug dealer identified as Khurram Shehzad alias Toti was killed during an exchange of fire.

Police claimed the suspect was shot by his own accomplices while attempting to escape.

Police said the suspect was wanted in a murder case registered on April 8, 2024, in which a citizen, Muhammad Arshad, was allegedly tortured to death over a dispute involving payment for narcotics. Illegal weapons and 1,420 grams of hashish were recovered from his possession, while two accomplices managed to flee.
